We had the honour of visiting the New Brunswick Museum in St John last week, and was given a quick tour of the site after our presentation to the Passamaquoddy IPCA group who wanted to learn more about the Pemsik Mawa'tasikl Anko'tmu'kl vision and work. This us part of the Nukumi's Teachings series of events for each full moon. Find us at the Sable River Community Hall from 7am to 9:30am. Syop by, grab some goodies and a welcome package! If you arrive after that we will be outside in the parking lot of the Hall! Until we meet in Jones' Harbour for 12:30pm for a group event where everyone is welcome to join us birding! Providing them with the opportunity to interact with these terrestrial & marine spaces, guided by Mi’kmaw ways of knowing, culture & traditions, western science and reconnection to the natural knowledge systems Mother Earth created so that life could be sustained strengthens their knowledge banks and builds on their future as they become stewards of these woods & waters that were the teachers of traditional ecological knowledge for our Mi’kmaw Ancestors.
